When the We Got This leadership team built the budget for the 2023 summer program, we did so hoping to average 30 kids a week during the 12 weeks of the summer program and set the budget for paying kids at $7,200. We are grateful and thankful to be able to say that We Got This had, on average, 66 young people walk through the gates of the garden on any given Saturday during the summer. Each individual was paid $20 for the work and the total pay out to kids was just over $16,000!
Today we are specifically looking to raise the difference, $8,800, from the extra youth that showed up throughout the summer.
Every $20 donated goes to re-establish our fund balance and each dollar donated has already been paid out to a young person for their participation in making their neighborhood a better place to grow up in.
