Lately, a lot of neighbors have been telling us the same thing—healthy food just isn’t affordable with how high prices have gotten.

That’s why this season, we’re committed to growing more fresh produce than ever—so we can keep sharing it freely with families who need it.

This weekend, we’re kicking off our planting with cold-weather veggies. To make it all happen, we’re still in need of a few essential items from our Amazon Wishlist. If you’d like to support, you can check out the link in bio or drop off items Saturday afternoon.

We are excited to announce our FOURTH year of part

We are excited to announce our FOURTH year of partnering with @webersgreenhouse - Milwaukee’s ONLY nonprofit garden center. Weber’s works with @teensgrowgreens to grow plants as well as more young garden experts.

Similar to last year, Webers is offering a $20 plant box donation to help fill the raised beds at We Got This. Between now and early June, any $20 plant box purchased will send hand picked plants right to the We Got This garden. You can go into their store to purchase this plant box or buy it online.

This is an excellent opportunity to support Webers, Teens Grow Greens, and We Got This all at the same time! Last year, nearly all of the plants grown at We Got This were donated through the support of community members and we are proud and hopeful to continue that tradition this year.

Lemonade, Tea and WE was a great chance to connect

Lemonade, Tea and WE was a great chance to connect with new and old friends. We loved having @foodrightinc teach about micro greens and hand out some kits. Thanks also to @marmfarm_milwaukee for coming and helping.

Thanks to all who came to our clean up today. Special thanks to Rake Lawn Care for trimming bushes, blowing garden beds and cleaning up the garden!

Today was also the first time in the 2025 growing season we paid kids for working in the gardens.
Even though we start officially on June 7th, we have a lot of work to get done. To get a jump on the growing season, we enlisted the help of a few of our student leaders from last year. These kids are a great example of the culture we set at We Got This and take a tremendous amount of pride in their work. We are so thankful they consider themselves part of the We in We Got This.

As we gear up for the summer, we’ll continue to add work opportunities for kids and your support, likes, or shares are always appreciated.
