Help Us Give Out $20,000 To Young People This Summer

Garden

This year we are projecting to average 85 kids per week over the 12 Saturdays of We Got This, which means we are hoping to give out over $20,000 to young people for making their neighborhood a better place to grow up in. Paying the kids to work is by far our biggest expense and we are excited to announce that through some grant opportunities nearly every dollar donated throughout the 2024 fiscal year will go directly back into the hands of a kid for their work. If you are interested in contributing to that work, we have made available the option on our website to donate specifically for one or two students for a week or to donate the equivalent of the payments made to one kid for the entire summer.

The team at We Got This is committed to finding ways to maximize the amount of money given out to our young people. Through plant donations and our Amazon wishlist, we are able to maximize the amount of money paid out to young people at the garden. For many of the kids at We Got This, their work on Saturday mornings is their first experience in the world of work. This experience becomes invaluable as they move from childhood into adulthood.

In order to provide stipends to the youth, we look to our supporters for donations. The We Got This team attempts to make giving as easy as possible and offers ways for you to engage your online communities in the process. Help be the change by donating $20 today to pay one young person for working in their neighborhood.
